Saturday we set up all the equipment in the Event Center of Lazy Days RV. On with practice...but Emily was having some problems with laryngitis. We have all been sustained through the very busy time of concerts with good health, but when we stopped several came down with colds. We didn't know how today would go as Emily sings melody through most of the songs and just couldn't sing! We prayed, sent out prayer requests and attended to her throat. We went to bed trusting in the Lord to fulfill His purposes. Whatever He wanted to do with the morning was up to Him.
I was comforted by many verses this morning in my anxiety about the situation. Psalm 34 was great. I really appreciated Ps. 34:9-10.
I cannot say the morning went smoothly, but we didn't pray for that. We did pray for Emily's voice and she sang beautifully! There were many other technical problems this morning, but I felt the Lord's peace through it all.

What an amazing God we serve! I'm sure it was SUCH a relief to y'all that Emily's laryngitis went away! I remember around Thanksgiving we got sick, and my oldest brother especially {along with some of the rest of us} had pretty bad voice problems. It's always aggravating {although at times humorous ;)}, but I'm sure it would be especially hard if you had to sing! :\
ReplyDeleteI will be praying for y'all as you start your journey home soon! May the LORD keep you safe through your travels! And may He bless you as you continue to serve Him!
I love you all,
Martha Joy
P.S. Thank you so much for all of the posts and updates, and the fun pictures!
