Final Days at Lazy Days

The final days of our trip, awaiting our final concert, have been a great time to regroup and spend some time together doing things we don't normally do. It has been peaceful and a blessing. God has given us a specially-made family and it's just a delight to be together. We praise Him for His goodness to us. 

Early in the week we met up with some friends for a wonderful afternoon together. On Tuesday, Bryan and I had a date out with an old pharmacist friend and his wife at the Cheesecake Factory. They had about 30 cheesecakes to choose from and a menu that was a book! That was quite a treat! The older four children and Bryan and Dave were able to get in 18-holes of mini-golf. We also spent a last evening with Grandpa and Grandma eating pizza and enjoying the company. Yesterday there was a free day at the Children's Museum and we got there a few minutes before the crowd descended! It was greatly enjoyed, especially the fire truck, ambulance, police motorcycle and the climbing wall!

Bryan had some work to attend which involved payroll and a computer crash at home...So, we decided to give him a quiet trailer and head to the park.

Tucson Reid Park Zoo

The younger children have been putting in a lot of time and patience, too, as we travel around singing and playing. We decided it was time for a little relaxation at the zoo. (Although walking all over a zoo grounds may not be considered relaxing, it was a great time). God's creation is amazing and always appreciated after a trip to the zoo.

Mountain View Baptist in Dewey

After our Sunday morning sing in Tucson, we all jumped in the van to head to Dewey. We didn't want to take two vehicles, so we paired down our equipment to the necessities as the church has a sound system. We couldn't fit Dave's upright bass in though! The 3.5 hour trip north was pretty good as some who might not have enjoyed it, took a nap. The problem was on the way 3.5 hours home, but with Greg in charge of keeping spirits up, we sang about every song he could think of! That seemed to be the key to keeping the grumpies away. We were blessed to have some friends from Montana visiting in Arizona the same time we are, so they attended the concert. Whatever meager things we offer to God, He always gives more. Our hearts were touched and refreshed.
